This is the second time that I've purchased this particular book. I is one of the most comprehensive and easily written bartenders books available. The wine section is particularly helpful. I had to buy a second copy because my first was stolen. That's how good it is! A must have for anyone who wants a quick guide at the bar they work in, or just something at home to impress their fronds with!

Great book! It had a plethora of recipes and also includes bartending tips, tricks, and a wine vintage guide. You can search for drinks by name, or by the type of alcohol in them. Great setup, delicious drinks, and everything a bartender could ever want in a book!

 Kindle edition of Bartender's Black Book Jun 22, 2010
This review applies to the Kindle edition of Bartender's Black Book. Buy the spiral bound version of this title, not the kindle version. The Kindle version of this book is practically useless because the recipes can not be accessed directly from an index. The user has to scroll page by page to get to the recipe of interest or use the search function and pick from the search results. This makes the kindle book impractical to use as a real-time reference in a bar or at a party. However, the kindle version has the advantage of displaying the text in a much larger font than the printed version.
