I ended up sending this back.
The knife didn't cut at all and the shaker didn't seal well.
Overall - I thought it wasn't great quality.
I think if you are young and just want something to get by - this would do it.
However, if you are looking for something substantial and classier looking... this isn't it.

I found this product to be very good for the price. It operates very well with the only problem coming from the rubber seal around the glass that does not want to stay in place. That is OK though since the bond between the glass and the metal is fine. On a couple of reviews that had problems with leakage, I submit that they were just using it improperly. You have to shake it with the metal portion in the downward side as the glass fits INSIDE the metal portion. Also, concerning the trouble with getting them apart, just a slight tap on a counter top at the point where the glass and metal are sealed and the two will move sideways and come apart. Just seems to be a bit of uneducated usage that led to the negative comments. All in all, this it a great product for the price and I would recommend it to anyone.

I usually don't drink at home but I do have a bar and this set compliments the bar quite nicely. I haven't used it yet but it sure looks good :) I uploaded a picture of my bar with the item, check it out.

This is a great starter kit. I've heard that this boston style shaker (with one steel part and one plastic part) is much better than typically steel shakers. All the gadgets it comes with are helpful, and it's definitely worth it for the price. It looked pretty nice when it was all set up. I gave it to my boyfriend for his birthday because he decided that he wants to make better drinks when he's at home, and he loveddd it!
